Father God, Yahweh, Jehovah-Jireh,
I give thanks and praise to you for all you are doing in and through me. My heart is filled with peace, joy, and anticipation for what you have for today. With the authority, you have given to me, I speak to my eyes to be open to see, my ears that they may hear, my heart that it may receive and my mind to understand the insight you have for me today. Thank you for your loving, faithfulness. In Yahweh, Jehovah-Jireh's name, I pray, Amen.
Today, I'm lead to Matthew 26:6-13:
The Anointing at Bethany
“6 And
when Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, 7 a
woman came to Him having an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil, and
she poured it on His
head as He sat at the table. 8 But when His disciples saw it, they were indignant,
saying, “Why this waste? 9 For this fragrant oil
might have been sold for much and given to the poor.”
10 But when Jesus was aware
of it, He
said to them, “Why do
you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work for Me. 11 For you
have the poor with you always, but Me you do not have always. 12 For in
pouring this fragrant oil on My body, she did it for My burial. 13 Assuredly,
I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this
woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.” (NKJV)
Wow, just as in life, there is so much going on in this passage. We could look at the stigma of Simon "the leper". We could focus on the value of the "very costly fragrant oil". We could focus on the awareness and understanding of the disciples who have been under the teaching and life experience with Jesus. We could ... there's so many facets of this text ... today, I'm drawn to the woman and oil.
Fact, we know it is a very costly or expensive oil. Scholars have researched and have established a general value for it; however, for today, we are going to accept the understanding of The Word that it was very expensive and valuable. (For those that desire to know the value ... have fun and dig into The Word to quench your desire ... you will always come away blessed.) This oil was precious to this woman, most likely (from my limited studies) it was a gift to her that had been handed down through the generations. This raises the value abouve the world's value system as it has heritage and eotional value to it as well as the financial value.
She broke the oil and poured it over Christ's head as He sat at the head of the table. Wow ... there's even more to ponder. There is so much symbolism in pouring it over His head. There is symbolism in that He was setting at the head of the table. However, for me today, I note and accept these things as showing the respect and honor that was being given to Christ while He was in Simon the leper's house.
So, here are the disciples who have experienced life under the teaching of Christ. They KNOW Him on a very personal level. They are at a gathering and are accepting the respect and honor being given to Christ with Him being placed at the head of the table in another man’s house. However, when a woman comes bringing an alabaster box of oil which they are fully aware of the financial value and sacrifice on her part … their judgement and level of respect and honor of Christ is that He is not worthy of such a valuable sign of reverence. This judgement from they who have laid down their previous lives to follow Christ. How often do we do this? Were they put out because of the financial waste? Were they responding in pride? Do we look at an act of another and make the judgement that we know what is going on in their life? What they are being led by the Holy Spirit to do? Do we stand in pride thinking that we know the full circumstances, conviction and reason for the action? Is it our place to judge the action of another? Do we want to stand in the likeness of the disciples here and receiving the rebuking of our Lord?

Honestly, no I don’t. I desire and am striving to step up in my
level of faith. To know my LORD and
Master such that I know what is pleasing to Him and do it. As well as support and encourage others when
they are walking in obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit in their lives. It’s not my place to judge them for their action. We are given the authority to judge the
spirit that it is done in however. It is
my place to judge the spirit behind the action and to pray for the situation and
uphold the proclaimed victory that is Christ’s in all things.
Jesus said,
“Why do you trouble the woman? For she
has done a good work for Me. 11 For you have the poor with you always, but Me
you do not have always. 12 For in pouring this fragrant oil on My body,
she did it for My burial. 13 Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel

memorial to her.”
The oil was
used to prepare Jesus’ flesh for what was to come. His burial.
Our Salvation. Our Freedom. Our Life Eternal. This resonates deep within me. God has called me and blessed me with being a
woman with a ministry that allows me to get to anoint others with oil. It is such a humbling experience to get to be
His ministering vessel to those He brings to prepare them for what is to
come. The spiritual and emotional side
of the essential oils just ignites a passion in me that, for those that know me
… can take me from a lethargic state to fully energized in an instant. When Jesus was anointed with the oil … God was
providing support and preparing the flesh for what was to come. Just as we have feast celebrations to end the
season we have just come out of and celebrate the newness of the season we are
heading into. The same is with our
emotional and spiritual side of our lives.
God provided us His tools, one of which is essential oils - which is
evidenced in Scripture from Genesis to Revelation - to help cleanse, break off
past seasons in our lives, and prepare us for what is to come and be done in
and through us in our new season. I am
always humbled and amazed at what the Holy Spirit does when another comes
desiring to break from the past and rise to a new level in a new season. It is always different, just what the Holy
Spirit knows is needed. Sometimes it
comes with deliverance, sometimes with prophecy, always it comes with His love
flowing and into the deepest depths of their soul.
So today, I
thank God for drawing me to this scripture.
For this affirmation that it is my place to follow the leading of the
Holy Spirit and not to give heed to those that are scoffing out of their
limited understanding. There are those
that take the position of the disciples who scoff and put down what the Lord is
being asked to be done. Every day as I
dive into knowing Christ more, I am constantly receiving new insights and levels
of knowledge and wisdom in the purpose and how to use the essential oils He has
brought in to my life after I said YES to Him.
When others speak against God’s teaching in using the essential oils (we’re
not even going there with discussing what happens when you blend scripture,
essential oils and prayer together …. Oh my, my, my WOW!) to support our flesh,
emotions, mind, and spirit … it is mine to stay focused on His leading only and
not receive nor judge them that are not at the level of understanding. Every day I stand in awe of new levels of
enlightenment that He brings and am ever more aware of just how much I don’t
know and am so excited to see what’s next.
I am so thankful for the heart and passion He created me with and that I
no longer bury my head in lack of understanding instead digging deeper in to
Him to receive more understanding. I
choose to be one of the one’s using oils to prepare self and others for what is
to come rather than one judging, scoffing, rebuking from a perspective of
limited understanding and disrespect.
For those that
would like to experience essential oils and especially those that want more
with the Holy Spirit leading the experience, myself and/or one of our Be
Healthy His Way team would be honored to come along side and support you on
your journey. You can achieve emotional release whether you
are a Believer or not … however the synergy effects of salvation, scripture and
prayer bring a level of freedom living of its own accord high above all else.
It is our
desire for you to KNOW God, to share His Word with you but also to share our
lives with you in love. We love you
where you are and are honored to support you on your journey to get to where
you want to be.
Thank you for the investment of your time.
May you hear and receive what is yours to hear from the sharing
of a portion of my insights.
Be blessed in the Name of the Lord, Yahweh, Jehovah-Jireh.
