RESPECT ... what's your's looking like? (Be Healthy His Way Vision Study insight)

(This is a continuation of journal insights of a Be Healthy His Way Vision Study that we are currently hosting.  We are diffusing Young Living Envision or Frankincense essential oil during our study time.)

Scripture Insights:  Jeremiah 29:11-13

God has always shared insights and deepened my understandings through my experiences as a mom and He is still going creatively strong in this area over 20 years later.  This verse is another great example of such revelation.

‘“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,’

As a mom to two amazing young men with the Lord’s guidance and help I am constantly encouraging (not nagging, at least not from my loving perspective – LOL) my sons to know what their calling is, to embrace it and to be focused on living fully in it every day.  Some days, I am so overwhelmed with desire for them to not settle for less than His best for them and to not waste or allow time, energy and resources to be stolen away by useless things and people with less than their best at heart.
This time of study and seeking Him in this verse brings accountability to myself.  In the last 7 years I have become more filled with understanding and purposefully aware of the desires of my heart that He created in me; purposefully seeking and going after knowing and walking in His leading.  However, I sit here right now and ponder that His plans for me are far greater than I have opened myself to completely understand even despite scripture, prophecy and Words that He has given others to share with me.  Let’s not even go there on the things He has spoken to me directly in His own solid but still and peaceful way which is louder than any verbal conversation I’ve ever had any day.  I can only imagine from the intensity of my desire for my sons I love so much, what God is feeling in His desire for me to get and know the plans He has for me and embrace it.

Shall we even address the “declares the Lord” portion here?  I am getting a grin on my face and a giggle in my heart at the times I am so adamant about wanting the best for my sons (and husband) that I naturally take a power pose, corresponding voice and plant my feet in a solid stance to show them how serious I am.  If I, as an Earthly mom, feel and respond this way, I can only imagine (knowing that we are created in His image) that He himself is in Heaven standing and feeling as adamantly himself with His power pose (oh my what a power pose that must be as I know how confident and powerful I feel when I choose to stand in mine – I’m looking forward to seeing it someday in His timing) feet firmly planted in love and determination for ME.  Can you visualize the ministering angels being ho-hum, complacent, lackadaisical and not jumping into action?  Nope, me either.  I envision a heightened alertness that is saying “Yes Sir” and powerful purposed action and alertness waiting, listening and ready to be of service to immediately act as we empower them to assist us in making this come to be for ourselves with the authority He has given us.

My heart has a bit of a catch in it as I relate to my sons and the times that they immediately respond to me versus the times they listen and don’t do in a timely fashion (if at all) or only half-heartedly listen and respond somewhat eventually or even worse, don’t listen at all.  Talk about major face plant here.  I honestly do not like the “RESPECT” response I am seeing in my own life in how I have opened myself up (or not) to take time and listen to what the Lord is saying and showing me.  How have I allowed myself to become so desensitized or busy that I do not with bated breath hang on every word and thought the Lord says and gives me?  How am I not waiting in anticipation and instantly doing what He says or leads me to do, knowing that when I take the first step in doing my part … He is only then able to do the wonders that He does bringing a 100% success rate and victory in my life and His will.  How have I allowed what others want, think or expect to invoke more of a response than what God wants, thinks and expects?

I’m taking a break here to go AFT and allow the Holy Spirit to lead me through exposing, rebuking, repenting and realigning myself with His truths instead of the distorted truths I have allowed to be stored in my amygdala that trigger my fight or flight, safe or unsafe processing in my choices.  I want to be free from my perceptions that have held me captive, impacted, and limited my actions, abilities and response to my deepest heart love and passion.   I cannot accurately express the intense feelings of my Being at this moment.

PONDER POINT:

How's your RESPECT to and for your Creator?

    -  Are you being RESPECTFUL and doing what He says and asks even if you don't understand?

    -  Are you taking a consultation role telling God what you think is best?

    -  Debating with Him?

    -  Forming a committee (with people who will see it your way) to make a final decision and plan of action?

    -  Or .... ?

(For those wanting to schedule an AFT session with one of our Certified AFT Practitioners, please contact us via MFB247@gmail.com or MFB247.com.  AFT is a gentle but effective way to permanently remove blocks that have been negatively preventing you from freely growing and expanding as you were purposefully created,)

Second Rate someone else or #1 Best You?

Father God, Yahweh, Jehovah-Jireh,

I give thanks and praise to you for all you are doing in and through me.  My heart is filled with peace, joy and anticipation for what you have for me today.  With the authority, you have given to me, I speak to my eyes to be open to see, my ears that they may hear, my heart that it may receive and my mind to understand the insight you have for me today.  Thank you for your loving faithfulness.  In Yahweh, Jehovah-Jireh’s name, I pray.  Amen.

As I was studying today, I was re-reading Philippians 1.  This whole book is good; however today I want to focus on verses 9 and 10.

Philippians 1:9-10 (NKJV)

And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, 10 that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ,
As I was reading this, the words “knowledge”, “discernment”, “sincere” and “offense” stood out to me.  I was in a recent group discussion regarding people being drawn to specific people in a group despite whether they were the appointed leader of the group or not.  It was interesting to hear the wide spread feelings that this type of situation brought up.
  • ·         Relieved that they were not the focal person
  • ·         Supportive and encouraging to those seeking and the one they were drawn to, leader or not
  • ·         Hurt they were not drawn to them even though they didn’t want the leadership responsibility
  • ·         Wanted the leadership role and were hurt because the people weren’t drawn to them
  • ·         The appointed leader and focused on giving their best in fulfilling their position
  • ·         Putting themselves down because they were not the one people were coming too

It was very enlightening the different perspectives that could be taken in just this one scenario.  Each one a different mindset.  It is so important that we take charge and control the thoughts of our mind and choose wisely.

We are all on the same Kingdom building team.  We are NOT in competition with each other IF we are on the same team.  We were created out of love to love and worship our Creator so that our life testimony would draw others to know and Love Him too.

It’s just like when playing basketball.  You have an area that is yours to play and defend.  The people that are brought in to your area are yours to care for, to run “offense or defense plays” depending on the circumstance.    It is our responsibility as a member of the team to be encouraging and supporting our teammates in their position.  When the “ball” is in our court and zone, then we are to be focused on taking control over the area/zone we have been placed in.  We cannot, as one person, be the whole team and cover the entire court and all the players.  When we try to play someone else’s position, we get in the way and come up second best.  Meanwhile, our given position is left exposed and comes up a complete loss.  However, if we know our position and focus on playing it well, then when the ball is not in our zone, we can be supporting our teammates by cheering them on, encouraging them, giving heads up warnings to help them, resting and renewing ourselves for when the action is in our zone, as well as accessing the overall situation and aiding in an overall win.

Such is the same in our lives and ministries.  We cannot physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually do it ALL on our own.  Kingdom building takes a team which starts with Christ in us.  As a team, we are called to support, encourage, and hold accountable others on the Kingdom building team.  There are only two teams.  God’s team and Satan’s team.  When you are not playing your best for God’s team then there’s only the other team to benefit and prosper from your efforts or lack of efforts.  When we see someone else shining in being their best “them” in the position they are in … It’s the time to be encouraging and supportive of them.   It is not a time to become jealous of them or try to run interference and replace them.  That’s the enemy’s tactic to try to bring confusion.  When you compare, and try to be someone else, you will always be a second rate them.  However, you will always be the best and #1 you when you are focused on what you are called to be/do.  And when you are a team player and edify others on your team when the “ball” is in their court … everyone wins.

When you find yourself tempted to compare, yearning to be in the position that someone else is in … Take NO OFFENSE (annoyance, anger, resentment, jealousy, irritation, etc) ... get your eyes back on God and focus on what He has put the desires in your heart and called you to do.  No one purposefully strives and invests times and energy into being second rate … unless they are lost in knowing who and what they are.  Put your time and energy in to KNOWING and BEING the best “YOU”, you can BE.  No one else can be a better you than ... YOU!

Today I challenge you:
  •  What are you called to do?  What are the desires that God created in your heart?  Are you keeping your focus, energy and time invested in being the best YOU He created you to be?
  •  Who have you been blessed with to link arms with, to help support and encourage them in their God created and purposed position?  Are you a help or a hindrance?

I leave you pondering these things in your own life.  May you be filled with a Christ perspective and energized to know and see yourself as God created you and to be the #1 YOU that only you can be.
It is written that we shall OVER come by the Blood of the Lamb and the Words of our testimony.  The Blood of the Lamb has already been shed.  It’s the Words of our testimony that we are living today and responsible for.  So … what’s the WORDS of your testimony?  We welcome comments on how you are an OVERcomer and a DOer.

Ultimate blessings!
It is our desire for you to KNOW God, to share His Word with you but also to share our lives with you in love.  We welcome getting to know you and to be able to love you where you are.  We are honored to support you on your journey to get from where you are to where you want to be.

Ut-oh ... Accountability check ... Consider Your Ways

Before I get started, I want to speak blessing and insight connecting each one of us to a deeper, higher level of His understanding and application of knowledge in our hearts, minds and lives.

Amen.

Ready or not … here’s my heart for today!

So, for the past few days I’ve have had the urge to read Haggai.  Our family does the chapter a day with a body of Believers that we fellowship with.  Currently we are in the book of Proverbs which is always filled with wisdom of how to handle specific situations that are presented in life.  It’s a great resource.  This week we also have the added benefit of attending the Greater Faith Conference.  (Click to watch rebroadcast.)  My typical day generally starts around 4 am and ends somewhere between 10:30 and midnight … so this week has been packed even fuller mandating a rest week for many things – which is a concept I need to consider incorporating into my life on a consistent basis.  On top of all this time in the Word and sitting in teaching, I still have the quiet but insistent urge to read Haggai again.  Well, today is the day.  I finally took the time to read it.  I mean … well, it’s only two chapters … but what a timely and appropriate two chapters as we are nearing the completion of the first 10% of 2017 being.  (You know how God feels about the first 10%.  This year has brought awareness of purposed insight into His 10th portion of my year … I have to admit, I’ve not purposefully lived HIS first 10th of the previous as well as I could have but thankfully I’m only accountable for what I know and do from the point of awareness.  God’s grace and mercy once again.)

  • So, do you feel like you are …
  •  Sowing much but bringing in little or not harvesting at all?
  •  Eat, but still hungry, don’t have enough?
  •  Drink, but still thirsty?
  •  Clothe yourself, but are still cold?
  •  Work to earn wages, but there’s holes in your pocket? Your paycheck doesn’t stretch to cover all?

If you find yourself in agreement with even one of these things … many of us are experiencing all the above … then it is time to do as He says and … “Consider your ways!”

I challenge you to go read the book of Haggai.  This book was written to the people living in Jerusalem and to those who had returned from exile.  It applies to each one of us today.  Those of us living in His created purpose for our lives and those of us returning from wondering from the purpose that He has created us for.

Talk about accountability check.  If we are experiencing even one of the bullet points above, then we need to stop and check our purposed use of life.  Are we building up our own body, home, business, etc. before we are tending to the Lord’s?  You say, “Yeah but …”.   I totally hear and feel you.  I look at our daily calendar.  Besides having a busy family life, we homeschool.  We have a ministry and two businesses as well as attending HMS School and attending services 14-15 hours a week as well as the bonus of the conference this week which puts us attending a minimum of 29 hours this week.  And yet, I must “Consider my ways.”  I’ve been looking at how and when we can volunteer during our already feeling full schedules.  It appears there’s just no way.  However, the need to serve where we are currently being called to sit under to learn is already on our family’s heart … and now after reading Haggai … any thought of “need for food, drink, clothing, bills, paychecks …” (and with teenage sons …” I’m hungry” or “what’s for dinner?” is plentiful!)  makes me stop and “Consider my ways.”  To look to see what I am doing to “build His temple”.

It is written in Haggai 2: 18b-19, “from the day that the foundation of the LORD’s temple was laid – consider it:  Is the seed still in the barn? As yet the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have not yielded fruit.  But from this day I will bless you.”

Okay … so mega WOW enlightenment from something that I’ve read before but obviously ready to see and receive now.  Do you see it?  It is written (and we all know God can only speak truth) that from the day the foundation was laid – Yip! Starting from the day I put first time to serve and volunteer in building up His temple/the fellowship we are mentoring under … that unlocks blessings to pour out over me, our family.  I don’t have to wait for the seed in the barn to be sowed, grown and then be harvested.  I don’t have to wait for the growing season to progress to be the proper time and temperature (Goodness the temperatures are so up and down here in Missouri!  75 degrees one day, 29 degrees the next and today we are heading back into the mid to high 60’s. I’m not even a tree or plant and I’m confused but praising the nice riding weather in the middle of what is called winter!)  for the fruits of the vine or trees to put on buds, produce fruit and ripen.  Nope … God’s blessing starts at the very foundation of DOING.  Based on that Truth, I cannot afford to NOT volunteer a portion of my time to His temple building.  I experience it constantly in my life that when I do what He lays on my heart, everything works together better and the outcome is far greater than what I input when I follow HIS leading.  When I try to meet expectations of others and those I place upon myself without His guidance, it is always far more effort, time, energy, expense and the outcome is no way near the same quality.  So, if I’m feeling lack … it’s an accountability moment to make sure I’m tending HIM first and then myself.  Only then can the scale balance or truly tip in my favor. (Vision a scale with chains suspending plates on each side of the balance point. I'm purposefully loading the plate on His side! Tee Hee I've lived the other side and I'm not going back.)

So, I challenge you to … “Consider your ways.”

As you proceed in your day and life, it is my desire to bless you with sensitivity to God’s voice.  I call forth your inner spirit to receive this blessing.  Spirit, God speaks in many creative ways, and I bless you with tuning your spiritual ears to him.  Your salvation depended on His voice calling you, and your response to Him was music to His ears.  I bless you with listening with commitment to obey.  I bless you with a hearing spirit and an understanding heart to discern between good and evil.  I bless you with clearing out static and interference so you have clear communication.  I bless you with awakened, deeply cleansed, and alert ears to hear.  I bless you with knowing your Shepherd’s voice.  I bless you in Jesus’ name with the sound of heaven.  So Be It!

It is our desire for you to KNOW God, to share His Word with you but also to share our lives with you in love.  We welcome getting to know you and to be able to love you where you are.  We are honored to support you on your journey to get from where you are to where you want to be.

Thank you for the investment of your time.
May you hear and receive what is yours to hear from the sharing of a portion of my insights.
Be blessed in the Name of the Lord, Yahweh, Jehovah-Jireh.

Temptation ... wait what!?!?

James 1:13-14

I've heard people ask, "Why is God tempting me?" or "Why is God allowing me to be tempted?"

Well, here's the truth.  God cannot be tempted by evil nor does He tempt anyone.  God doesn't tempt us or even put us in a position to be tempted.  That, my friend, we do all on our own, in our own doing.  So if you are being tempted ... what doors are you opening?  What are you watching?  What are you listening too?  What are you reading?  Who are you hanging with?  Who are you letting influence you?

If you're not happy where you are ... the sweet blessing is that YOU are in control of where you are, what your focus is on, what direction you are heading.  God gave us freedom of will and is eagerly waiting for us to turn or step towards Him.  At any point, no matter how dark of a place or deep in temptation you have allowed yourself to go, He has given us the option to turn back to Him.  Take the step of faith ... He provides what you need to succeed in fulfilling your created purpose.  It's a new year, a new season ... a great time to step to a new level or at least redirect your path ... it starts with a step of faith.  Blessings on your 2017 Faith Walking Program ... until FitBit or that type of device can track your steps, get a journal and start tracking your Faith Steps.  You'll be thrilled with the results.

Success to faith stepping out and stepping up in 2017!

Psalm 134 Praising the Lord

Father God, Thank you for this time in your Word.  I pray for my eyes to see, my ears to hear, heart to be open to receive and the grace to do what you reveal to me today.  May you be glorified in and through my life.  In Jesus Name I pray.  Amen.

Psalm 134  New King James Version (NKJV)

Praising the Lord in His House at Night

A Song of Ascents.

134 Behold, bless the Lord,
All you servants of the Lord,
Who by night stand in the house of the Lord!
Lift up your hands in the sanctuary,
And bless the Lord.
The Lord who made heaven and earth
Bless you from Zion!

Wow, as I ask the Lord for my eyes, mind, ears and heart to be open to receive what He has for me today I am yet again overwhelmed what He has in what appears to be a short, simple psalm.  A Psalm or chapter that only has three verses recorded in The Word that is easily overlooked if you are just reading to read to check it off your list that its done.  Meditating on the Word is far more enlightening and fruitful then reading the Word.

“Behold” what a word.  It has a Ta Da fanfare to it or a drum roll type presentation. It stirs my spirit and puts it on alert.  The word is defined as “see or observe a thing or person, especially a remarkable or impressive one.  Synonyms are view, look at, watch, survey, witness, gaze at/upon, regard, contemplate, inspect.

The word “Behold” calls me to accountability.  Am I truly observing the Lord? Am I gazing upon Him and seeing all that He does for me? Or am I too busy with the menial things in life, allowing them to fill up my day as I focus on them and let them shape and mold my emotions and mood towards myself, my family, my friends, the people I encounter while out and about.  I do know that when I’m “Beholding the Lord” and gazing upon Him, knowing Him, praising Him that the focus and effects of others on the earth do not impact my life as deeply nor have the roller coaster effect on my emotions.  I also know that I have my best results in getting the important things accomplished during my day and the lesser things either go away or often resolve themselves with little effort on my part.  Why then do I choose to put the “busyness” of the world before and above my “Behold” time of the LORD?  Talk about a face palm insight moment.

I’ve read the Psalm through several times before I even started to journal my insights.  There is so much here however today I am lead to meditate on the “Behold”.

Behold, observe, as you bless the Lord.  Behold and observe day and night … good challenges and bad challenges.  Observe the Lord in all situations that you allow yourself into with your choices and things put in to motion with your spoken authority.  God loves us so much that He allows us to make our own choices.  He loves us so much that He allows us to choose whether to give Him honor or not … and He delights in the praise and honor we give Him.  He who can speak anything into being, who does not need us to do anything for Him, truly delights in our adoration and praise of Him.  Try to comprehend that!  Being a parent is such an eye opener to the heart of God.  As parents, we love our children from the moment they are being created inside of us.  It is such a pleasure to watch a loving couple who are expecting their first child.   How the husband/dad hovers over, anticipates the needs and is delighted to get to do whatever for the wife/mom to meet her needs and desires.  How like our Heavenly Father who watches over us, guides us (even when we are in the “2-year-old Do It Myself phase”; whether we are willing to receive or not and loves us whether we decide to listen and do or not!), anticipates our needs and provides even the smallest thing for us when we allow and are willing to receive.

We GET to bless God as we stand watch by night, in the darkest hours, the darkest challenges.  It is a choice.  We can always find Him in every situation.  God did not create sin.  Adam and Eve’s love gift of free will, chose to listen to the deception of Satan and allow his words and implications to outweigh God’s words.  God who has always spoken truth to and over them, providing their everything.  Even then God’s love for us was so great that He had to honor His word and cast them out of the Garden of Eden for their disobedience.  BUT GOD cast them into a void that He created and gave them everything they needed to have life, to succeed, to fulfill their purpose of life.  He still hovered, watching, anticipating, giving what they would accept when they were willing to receive out of an unconditional love.

God shows His unconditional love for us repeatedly throughout The Word.  Even when the Earth became so corrupt that only one man and his family believed, sought God, heard Him and worshiped Him, He saved that one man (Noah) by giving Him promptings and insight to build a boat to prepare for what had never existed before on this Earth.  Are we courageous as Noah? Are we willing to act and stand against the ridicule of doing something beyond the norm? Even before that … are we truly seeking and spending time with God?  Do we even stand still long enough to converse and be open to receive from God an idea to build/create/do something that has never been done before?

Oh, the proof of accountability and submission!  Because Noah sought after knowing God and knowing His heart thus knowing and being aligned with His will and willing to receive direction no matter how unknown the concept.  Because Noah covered his family, raised them according to the knowledge of God’s ways that were imparted to him through prayer and meditation with God as the Bible didn’t exist yet.  Because Noah sought after and “BEHOLDED” God, his family was saved when all the rest of the people of the earth that had become so corrupted that there was no goodness and were destroyed in the first rainfall and flood on earth.  You think that you are just one person and can’t make much of an impact?  Rebuke that lie right now because Noah is just one proof of what one man can do because of God’s love for us and willingness to give us the delights of our hearts in the blessing of obedience.  You do matter and impact the lives of those around you. How you walk out challenges brought on by your own choices and sometimes brought on by the choices of others … is a witness to others of our great, loving, Heavenly Father who guarantees us victory in ALL challenges.

It is written in John 10:10 that satan, our enemy, comes to kill, steal and destroy.  It is also written that Jesus came to give us life and to not only give us life but to give us life ABUNDANTLY!  If it has to do with killing, stealing, destroying then give credit to the correct initiator – satan, and give PRAISE to Jesus who gives us victory in ALL things and will give us the strength to stand and endure to receive the morning joy (Psalm 30:5) and the restoration of what has been taken/stolen from us.  (Deuteronomy 30:3-13).  He gives us a life of abundance! Are we receiving it and walking in it?

I can honestly say, from walking through some dark challenges beyond the normal, that God really is there guiding and giving strength to endure, to receive the blessing of His morning joy.  It is possible to see and hold on to Him during the darkness, praising Him when satan is doing everything he can to have all flesh and world things keep you from praising your Creator and Unconditional Lover of your soul.

Wow!  Thanks for such sweet reminders Lord.  With the weights of worldly demands and expectations dragging me down at times, I so needed this accountability check as to where my focus is and where my spoken praise is.  It’s a mindset or perspective choice with every thought and circumstance.

My affirmation today:  I choose to seek Him.  I choose to follow His leading.  I choose to give praise to the Lord.  I choose to focus on His good report only.  I choose to rebuke and step on the head of satan who can only bruise my heel instead of running screaming in fear.  (Genesis 3:15)  I feel God’s leading.  I feel like praising the Lord. I feel like focusing on His good report. I feel like rebuking satan in my life.  I AM choosing Him.  I AM following His leading.  I AM giving praise to my Lord.  I AM focusing on His good report.  I AM rebuking the devourer.

To you, Father God, I give the praise and glory of all good things in my life and my ability to overcome and praise in and through all things.  Thank you. Thank You.  Thank you.
