Abundant Branches

Ezekiel 17:5-6 (English Standard Version)

5Then he took of the seed of the land and planted it in fertile soil. He placed it beside abundant waters. He set it like a willow twig, 6and it sprouted and became a low spreading vine, and its branches turned toward him, and its roots remained where it stood. So it became a vine and produced branches and put out boughs.

Ezekiel 31:6-8 (English Standard Version)

6 All the birds of the heavens
made their nests in its boughs;
under its branches all the beasts of the field
gave birth to their young,
and under its shadow
lived all great nations.
7It was beautiful in its greatness,
in the length of its branches;
for its roots went down
to abundant waters.
8 The cedars in the garden of God could not rival it,
nor the fir trees equal its boughs;
neither were the plane trees
like its branches;
no tree in the garden of God
was its equal in beauty.

THINK ABOUT IT:

This tree resembles your life. Your branches or boughs reflect where your roots are planted and His unending abundant waters. Every choice you make, person you encounter, thought you have is reflected in your "boughs". Are you firmly rooted in Him? Are you growing? Are your branches a host to the "birds of heavens"? Is your life giving "birth" furthering His Kingdom? God created you for greatness. You are His portal to bring Heaven to Earth so others may see His beauty through you and come to know Him.
