It's MONDAY ... from ugh to Exuberant JOY!

It’s MONDAY!!!

I must admit … I wasn’t quite as excited about today when I first awoke.  However, in my seeking and planning of the day my hope and excitement of the day has burst forth.  Yet another blessed delight in my life.

As I sat to focus on the steps of my day and the needs of others asking for my assistance, I turned to whom I seek my guidance.  In the days of so many seeking my services, my eyes rest upon our house and its state of neatness … it reflects that it has not taken priority over the calls, sessions and life events.  My heart constricts seeking affirmation that my husband and sons, my #1 mission field, are not reflecting the same condition as our house.  Since I was a little girl I remember earnestly praying for my husband and children asking God not to come again until I got to know and love them well.  I used to laughingly say, “He honored my requests and my prayers held off the second coming.  Now I have my husband and sons, so you’d better be ready or putting your own pleas to the Father as my prayer had been answered.”   Today, as I contemplate and seek direction, I ponder do I “know and love them well”?  My mother’s heart yearns to know and hear a resounding YES.  The reality check of my flesh replies, “You can always do better.”  Talk about constricting my heart and stopping my breathing.  However, my perspective of looking forward frees my heart and releases my breath as once you experience doing something you are then able to seek new ways of doing it even better.  It’s not a matter of “failing” it’s a matter of reaching a “new level”.

I know scripture says that as I do His what He asks, He will cover my family.  My faith is every growing and this wife and mom’s heart knows this but sometimes there’s a still small voice that is contrary to the promises I stand on and it must be bound and squished.  In my seeking affirmation for my steps Luke 7:27 and Matt 7:7-8 are brought to my awareness today.  So, in my curious state I look up the references and my heart overflows with the small ways the affirmation of obedient steps I take are shown.
Matthew 7:7-8 (AMPC)
Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you.
For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened.

These Words sooth my heart and prompt me to continually Ask, Seek and Receive (It’s not begging its sowing seeds, standing declaring and decreeing the scriptures, and purposefully reaping my harvest!)  especially on behalf of myself and my family, my #1 mission field.  I know the passion that burns within me and I trust that the Source that created me with that passion knows my heart and loves my family that I was gifted even more than I do … which is mind boggling as I know the intensity of my love for my husband and sons.

I give thanksgiving praise for the affirmation and eagerly look up Luke 7:27 to see what was written for just this moment in my life and I find this …

Luke 7:27 (AMP)
This is the one of whom it is written [by the prophet Malachi], ‘Behold, I send My messenger ahead of YouWho will prepare Your way before You.’

Oh Yeah!  Talk about major WIN!  Talk about affirmation.  As long as I am seeking His guidance, I will have VICTORY … even if I stumble and my actions choose less than His best for me.  He loves me so much.  He guarantees my victorious success despite myself because He sends His Messenger to prepare the way for me.  I must take the first step for my life to open for Him to do what He does so creatively well.  It’s not about meeting other people’s expectations or even my own expectations … its all about meeting His expectations which may not be easy, but they are always simple and always start with just one step where He always meets us and carries us from there.

So, it is with a renewed and energized confidence that I now look to this Monday with exhilarated hope (exceeding expectation) of what blessed Joy this day is going to bring to myself, those I encounter and the One who created me to be His Joy.  I already know the day is filled with greatness and I get to be a part of it because I’m choosing to take the first step of doing.  Look out World … here I come, love, laughter, hugs and ALL!

What step are you being asked to take this grand day?  Are you dreading or expecting?  Boldly stepping or frozen in place?

Thank you for the investment of your time.
May you hear and receive what is yours to hear from the sharing of a portion of my insights.
Be blessed in the Name of the Lord, Yahweh, Jehovah-Jireh.

Your Hearts Desires

As a born-again child of God, almost every desire of your heart is Godly in nature.  (Make note, we're talking desires of the heart not the worldly lusts of your heart.)  The desire of God's heart is to see the desires of your heart filled.  He gives us the tools, directions and even life example of how to do this.  Trust in the His promises and be patient.  Your Heavenly Father wants to manifest every one of your heart desires in your life.  When your desires involve another, make sure and allow God to do and lead in His time as He alone knows when you are both individually ready to unite as One with Him.

A cake or loaf of bread baked to perfection is delicious.  However, one that is only partially done and still gooey raw in the middle ... not so pleasant nor delicious no matter how good it looks on the outside.  Trust the Master Chef to produce a Oneness with His mark of perfection on it.

Stand on the promise of Psalm 20:4 NKJV,

"May He grant you according to your heart's desire and fulfill all your purpose."

Use your spoken authority to Declare and Decree your Intent or Goal based on His promise --

"The Lord grants me all the desires of my heart and causes all my plans to succeed."

When you declare and decree your intention/goals based on the Scripture, it is always effective against all opposition.

May you be bold in knowing the desires of your heart and standing firm on declaring and decreeing with your spoken authority.

Be Blessed!

Second Rate someone else or #1 Best You?

Father God, Yahweh, Jehovah-Jireh,

I give thanks and praise to you for all you are doing in and through me.  My heart is filled with peace, joy and anticipation for what you have for me today.  With the authority, you have given to me, I speak to my eyes to be open to see, my ears that they may hear, my heart that it may receive and my mind to understand the insight you have for me today.  Thank you for your loving faithfulness.  In Yahweh, Jehovah-Jireh’s name, I pray.  Amen.

As I was studying today, I was re-reading Philippians 1.  This whole book is good; however today I want to focus on verses 9 and 10.

Philippians 1:9-10 (NKJV)

And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, 10 that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ,
As I was reading this, the words “knowledge”, “discernment”, “sincere” and “offense” stood out to me.  I was in a recent group discussion regarding people being drawn to specific people in a group despite whether they were the appointed leader of the group or not.  It was interesting to hear the wide spread feelings that this type of situation brought up.
  • ·         Relieved that they were not the focal person
  • ·         Supportive and encouraging to those seeking and the one they were drawn to, leader or not
  • ·         Hurt they were not drawn to them even though they didn’t want the leadership responsibility
  • ·         Wanted the leadership role and were hurt because the people weren’t drawn to them
  • ·         The appointed leader and focused on giving their best in fulfilling their position
  • ·         Putting themselves down because they were not the one people were coming too

It was very enlightening the different perspectives that could be taken in just this one scenario.  Each one a different mindset.  It is so important that we take charge and control the thoughts of our mind and choose wisely.

We are all on the same Kingdom building team.  We are NOT in competition with each other IF we are on the same team.  We were created out of love to love and worship our Creator so that our life testimony would draw others to know and Love Him too.

It’s just like when playing basketball.  You have an area that is yours to play and defend.  The people that are brought in to your area are yours to care for, to run “offense or defense plays” depending on the circumstance.    It is our responsibility as a member of the team to be encouraging and supporting our teammates in their position.  When the “ball” is in our court and zone, then we are to be focused on taking control over the area/zone we have been placed in.  We cannot, as one person, be the whole team and cover the entire court and all the players.  When we try to play someone else’s position, we get in the way and come up second best.  Meanwhile, our given position is left exposed and comes up a complete loss.  However, if we know our position and focus on playing it well, then when the ball is not in our zone, we can be supporting our teammates by cheering them on, encouraging them, giving heads up warnings to help them, resting and renewing ourselves for when the action is in our zone, as well as accessing the overall situation and aiding in an overall win.

Such is the same in our lives and ministries.  We cannot physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually do it ALL on our own.  Kingdom building takes a team which starts with Christ in us.  As a team, we are called to support, encourage, and hold accountable others on the Kingdom building team.  There are only two teams.  God’s team and Satan’s team.  When you are not playing your best for God’s team then there’s only the other team to benefit and prosper from your efforts or lack of efforts.  When we see someone else shining in being their best “them” in the position they are in … It’s the time to be encouraging and supportive of them.   It is not a time to become jealous of them or try to run interference and replace them.  That’s the enemy’s tactic to try to bring confusion.  When you compare, and try to be someone else, you will always be a second rate them.  However, you will always be the best and #1 you when you are focused on what you are called to be/do.  And when you are a team player and edify others on your team when the “ball” is in their court … everyone wins.

When you find yourself tempted to compare, yearning to be in the position that someone else is in … Take NO OFFENSE (annoyance, anger, resentment, jealousy, irritation, etc) ... get your eyes back on God and focus on what He has put the desires in your heart and called you to do.  No one purposefully strives and invests times and energy into being second rate … unless they are lost in knowing who and what they are.  Put your time and energy in to KNOWING and BEING the best “YOU”, you can BE.  No one else can be a better you than ... YOU!

Today I challenge you:
  •  What are you called to do?  What are the desires that God created in your heart?  Are you keeping your focus, energy and time invested in being the best YOU He created you to be?
  •  Who have you been blessed with to link arms with, to help support and encourage them in their God created and purposed position?  Are you a help or a hindrance?

I leave you pondering these things in your own life.  May you be filled with a Christ perspective and energized to know and see yourself as God created you and to be the #1 YOU that only you can be.
It is written that we shall OVER come by the Blood of the Lamb and the Words of our testimony.  The Blood of the Lamb has already been shed.  It’s the Words of our testimony that we are living today and responsible for.  So … what’s the WORDS of your testimony?  We welcome comments on how you are an OVERcomer and a DOer.

Ultimate blessings!
It is our desire for you to KNOW God, to share His Word with you but also to share our lives with you in love.  We welcome getting to know you and to be able to love you where you are.  We are honored to support you on your journey to get from where you are to where you want to be.

Icky, Sticky, Stinky, Muck no more!

Ecclesiastes 4, I started reading this yesterday ... alas my mind, heart and body just weren't there and I felt led instead of persevering with force reading it to mark it off my "To Do" list, I laid it down to come back to when I could sit, be still and receive.  Well, this morning was that time after a day of amazing glorious fullness (and some moments I did well but could have done better).  And now I know why I felt led to lay it down and go "DO" my day.

I read the first few verses yesterday and in my "get it done, mark if off my list" mentality ... it was more dry than sawdust in the hot summer sun.  Today, I made it all the way through the first half of the first verse and God totally had my heart.  Yip, just twelve words in the New King James Version and my heart and knees were buckling.  The Voice version brought it home even more:

"Then I looked again and saw all the oppression that happens under the sun. I saw the tears of the oppressed, and no one offered to help and comfort them. The oppressors exercise all the power, while the powerless have no one to help and comfort them."  Ecclesiastes 4:1 (VOICE)

I have experienced attacks of oppression in my life.  I was in the grips of some far longer then is comfortable to admit but thankfully that has been repented from and in my past.  The more deeper I go after knowing Him and studying His promises and how to walk through life ... the harder it is to settle for the smallest taste of discouragement, depression, oppression - whatever descriptive word you want to put to it.  It is no longer deceiving to me like a warm, snugly blanket to wrap oneself up in tightly and hunker in for a long rest.  As I grow in understanding and awareness my body, mind, emotions and spirit have become open to the heaviness, confining bondage of this unhealthy yoke.  It's deceptive appeasing glow is no longer.  Where I am now in my growth journey, even a moment of discouragement is very heavy on my heart and spirit.  It's very stifling.  Sucks the air out of my being faster than a helium balloon on the loose.  My inner discomfort is like a high pressure squeal of a tire with a slice in it as it loses its air or at times, like a tire with a bulge that grows bursting forth releasing everything inside and shredding the outside to bits instantaneously.  Today, I am even more thankful the awareness of and constant preventative maintenance to reduce/eliminate accepting the oppression into and upon my life.

It is written in Galatians 3:13 that we have been redeemed from the curse of the law.
But Christ has bought us out from under the doom of that impossible system by taking the curse for our wrongdoing upon himself. For it is written in the Scripture, “Anyone who is hanged on a tree is cursed” (as Jesus was hung upon a wooden cross). Galatians 3:13 (TLC)
It is also written in Genesis 1:16 that we have been honored with spoken authority over all.
God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”  Genesis 1:16 (WEB)
So then since God's word is truth (John 17:17 NKJV, "Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth." ), we do not have to open the door and receive even a taste of this oppression because unlike those who don't have the hope and promise of God, who have no one to help and comfort them.  We have a merciful, forgiving God of hope, grace, unending love that is always with us waiting for us to invite Him in to our life and situation, allowing Him to comfort, and help no matter what choices (good or bad) that we have made.  He sweeps in, cleans us up, cloaks us with His gifts and sends us out as royalty at a red carpet event.

Being a parent, I glimpse at new levels constantly God's heart in all that He eagerly desires to do and is ready to do for us when we ask, allow Him to do and willingly receive from Him.  I know the love in my heart for my sons (which is nothing compared to God's love for them or me!) and how I want the best for my sons and desire to give my best to help and comfort them on their journey of expansion of their created purpose in life.  Oh how much more is the vastness of God's love and ability to do for each of us.

PONDER POINTS:

So now my two part accountability of this insight.

1)  As Believers, how often do we open the door to the enemy's will and step into this oppression?  Choose to wrap ourselves up in it and wallow for a moment, day, week, month or longer?

and even more devastating to my heart and being ...

2)  How many people are in our lives that do not have God as their comforter and helper who are unaware of the hope and comfort that is theirs just by accepting and believing?  What am I doing to come along side them?  Give them comfort, hope and help?

Are my steps purposed to comfort and help as God comforts and helps me?  Even if its a heartfelt word of encouragement, a handshake, a hug, a kind smile, looking them in the eyes and letting them know they are seen by someone ... whatever we're lead to do ... do I DO it?  Do I DO it with a loving, cheerful heart?

What has someone done for you during a time of oppression that gave you the glimpse of hope, breath of much needed air that helped you carry on and make it through the icky, sticky, stinky, muck?

Please share in the comments below.

Sometimes we just need some promptings to get our creative juices flowing in greater degrees.  Sometimes we need a perspective shift, an awareness of different love languages other then our own to expand us to reach out and love others in their language.  The amazing thing that gets me every time ... when we open heartily do for others ... He always blesses us and does for us so much more.

Be blessed on your journey and may you walk even more in His fullness for your life.

Enjoying the good?

Praying that your heart, mind, eyes, ears and soul be open to receive what is yours to receive from sharing just a minute portion of my thoughts for the day.  (Those that know me ... especially my husband and sons ... know that my mind and thoughts flow faster than the Kansas winds when His Passion that He created me with is ignited! LOL)

So my life is constantly being taken higher, tent pegs being stretched wider, emotions and mindset constantly being refined and sifted and the list goes on.  It is such an honor to be in a study group of people who are purposefully reading Ecclesiastes.  Honestly, if it weren't for this group, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't normally turn to Ecclesiastes to be study, but I'm thankful I am.

Today while reading, the realization that this book was written well before my time and yet God purposed it for me, where I am today, in this place and time of my growth.  Wow!  Having grown up with most people making sure I knew how unworthy I was for anything but giving all I had to help them accomplish their current goal ... this in itself stops my heart, causes my eyes to gain moisture and lowers me to my kness ... I truly am worthy and loved ... and so are YOU.

Chapter 3 of Eccelesiastes is about there being a right time for everything.  There's a song by The Byrds that used this as their base for their song ... yes ... gasp ... God's word even prevails in secular music!  Love it!  Here's a link to the song for those that want to hear or for those that the song is now stuck in your mind ... your welcome!  Tee Hee

Okay ... now that The Byrds are done singing ... back to my sharing my insight.  There is definitely a time for everything.  In this advanced age of technology we have so much at our finger tips as well as so many expectations from others as well as self placed that we often are constantly rushing ahead and always feeling way behind.  My heart is so full of wanting to share insight that it is easy to get out of balance trying to figure out how to do all that the Lord is laying on my heart and I'm saying YES to.  Today, this reminder that there is a time for everything and I am to live in His leading in the "TIME" that I am presently in brings balance, peace and focus.  Yes, there are tons of opportunities, coulds, shoulds and wannas ... but today I choose to seek what time it is and what I am to do today.

Verse 12 and 13 (not a big surprise since the verses are on the graphic I created!) says that nothing is better for me (and you) then to rejoice and do good in my (your) life.  Pretty cool ... my days are to be filled with rejoicing and doing good.  I can so totally do that.  Laughter and joy is so deeply a part of me that is painful NOT to laugh and choose joy even in the darkest challenges (and boy have I experienced some of those).  However, it goes on to say, "and ALSO that EVERY man (that's you and me) should EAT and DRINK and ENJOY the GOOD of all his labor -- it is the gift of God."

Wait .. STOP ... Back up ... WhAT?  Accountability check!!! ... you are filling your day with busyness and DOING however are you ENJOYING the good of your busyness?  Are you truly following the leading of the LORD in your daily steps and busyness?  Are you enjoying the journey no matter how much of a workout? Are you joyfully eating and drinking the reaping from your labor?  Are you receiving AND opening up God's gift to you?

Um, I'm going to go do some pondering on this ... I know I've got the DOING, joyfully giving and loving part down.  Thinking I need to make sure I'm receiving and opening GOD's GIFT to me and thoroughly appreciating, enjoying and giving thanks for it.  I mean .. you probably know how it feels to select just the perfect gift for someone and then have them not open or use it ... oh my, I think I've kind of done that to God and possibly others in my life.  Yip ... time to go ponder, repent and enjoy.

How are you doing in this area?  I'd love to hear your insight and journey.

Be BLESSED!

Thank you for the investment of your time.

Life does come with a manual! Amazing!

Often times you hear people say, "I wish we had a manual for that."  or "I wish someone would just write it down showing us what to do."

Well ... we do have a manual, written instructions.  It covers every situation, circumstance, temptation, etc that we could ever find or get ourselves in to.

However, just as other "owner's manuals" that we get with products that we purchase with our money ... we tend to just throw them to the side and try to figure it out on our own and complain because its so hard.

Unlike other manuals, this one is not written in a confusing or vague manner.  When you go to the Word, you determine by how open and seeking you are as to how much enlightenment you will receive from it.  This book gets deeper the more you learn and grow always showing you a new level when you understand the one you are on.  What's even better ... unlike all the books out there that interpret and give human opinion based on where they are, what limits they have placed on themselves, etc this book was written by inspiration of God.

Challenge:
1)  Get in the Word and start a list of  scriptures that are promises to us.
2) Stand on those promises confessing and believing it into being in your life.

It's a real life changer.

Be blessed!

Thank you for the investment of your time.

Happy LOVE day!!!

Honored to celebrate today, a day that’s about LOVE!  HAPPY LOVE DAY!!!

Many have spouted to me that it is wrong to celebrate today because it is a pagan holiday.  I see where they are coming from and am accepting of their convictions.  However, it is not my conviction.  No, I’m not saying I agree with the pagan rituals.  However, I am saying … a holiday that focuses on LOVE and celebrates it … yes, I’m for.  From my perspective, today is a very good day.

No, our family doesn’t rush out and buy flowers, candy and whatever card is left at the last minute.  We don’t tend to dress up and go eat at an expensive place.  Our family, plans time together to have fun, laugh and be together.  Sometimes we are just our family and many times we are with friends that we share the love with.

You see, Valentine’s is all about love.  Love is defined in world’s dictionaries as, “an intense feeling of deep affection”.   And very accurate is that description.  Many seek after the fleshly fulfillment of the endorphins that are released, the feel happy, feel good, feel a part of a bigger picture, feel needed, feel whole or complete.  Yes, they are seeking love or at least the feelings that love brings to fill the void within and using the words of a song … “in all the wrong places”.

The following scriptures are just a few that tell us that GOD IS LOVE!

I John 4:8 ESV, “Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.”

I John 4:16 ESV, “So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.”

I John 4:19 ESV, “We love because he first loved us.”

I John 4:7 ESV, “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.”

We were each created from Love.  We began as a thought to God who then created man in to being breathing His breath of life into man. (Genesis 2:7)   Genesis 2:18 says “And the LORD God said, “it is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him”.   So, He created a help mate from man’s rib out of love.  (Genesis 2:21-24)   For them to be joined together as one flesh.  (Genesis 2:24)

We were created to want to be loved and to want to love.  It’s in each of our core being.  We are created in His image, the One who IS LOVE.  LOVE is not a sexual thing … however it is an awesome perk as being the ultimate worship or union with God between a husband, wife and God.  It is physically impossible for a man and wife to get closer to God then in that perfect union of three in one.  Which is why the world tries to imitate it with sexual pleasure outside of marriage which without God in the union leaves one even emptier.  Which then proves that GOD is LOVE as LOVE does not leave one empty and scarred but filled and overflowing to succeed at what you were created for.

So, from my perspective, LOVE is definitely something to celebrate every day, every breath of our lives.  Today is NOT a day to be shunned but to take advantage of the opportunity to show the world what they are seeking and thirsting for.  TODAY is about showing and sharing GOD’s LOVE to the world around you.  We were created with the yearning to have and be loved because we were created out of Love to be able to Love Him back.

So, you choose …

         1)  Out of expectation … rush out and buy a card (some don’t even read they just grab and go), some flowers and chocolate and give without much thought just to fulfill a commitment or to hope to get something in exchange.

       2)  Go with intent purpose and a happy heart and reflect God’s love to others in action, word or deed.   Expecting nothing in return.

My challenge for you today …

Find ways to show God’s LOVE to others today, those you know and those you don’t know yet.   I would thoroughly enjoy seeing your reply below with pictures or a report of some of the ways you show His LOVE to others today.

Bonus challenge:

Don’t stop after today … keep showing His love to others throughout the whole year!  And keep sharing and posting below.  Creativity is awesome and helps prompt others into action too.

HAPPY LOVE DAY!!!!

Ut-oh ... Accountability check ... Consider Your Ways

Before I get started, I want to speak blessing and insight connecting each one of us to a deeper, higher level of His understanding and application of knowledge in our hearts, minds and lives.

Amen.

Ready or not … here’s my heart for today!

So, for the past few days I’ve have had the urge to read Haggai.  Our family does the chapter a day with a body of Believers that we fellowship with.  Currently we are in the book of Proverbs which is always filled with wisdom of how to handle specific situations that are presented in life.  It’s a great resource.  This week we also have the added benefit of attending the Greater Faith Conference.  (Click to watch rebroadcast.)  My typical day generally starts around 4 am and ends somewhere between 10:30 and midnight … so this week has been packed even fuller mandating a rest week for many things – which is a concept I need to consider incorporating into my life on a consistent basis.  On top of all this time in the Word and sitting in teaching, I still have the quiet but insistent urge to read Haggai again.  Well, today is the day.  I finally took the time to read it.  I mean … well, it’s only two chapters … but what a timely and appropriate two chapters as we are nearing the completion of the first 10% of 2017 being.  (You know how God feels about the first 10%.  This year has brought awareness of purposed insight into His 10th portion of my year … I have to admit, I’ve not purposefully lived HIS first 10th of the previous as well as I could have but thankfully I’m only accountable for what I know and do from the point of awareness.  God’s grace and mercy once again.)

  • So, do you feel like you are …
  •  Sowing much but bringing in little or not harvesting at all?
  •  Eat, but still hungry, don’t have enough?
  •  Drink, but still thirsty?
  •  Clothe yourself, but are still cold?
  •  Work to earn wages, but there’s holes in your pocket? Your paycheck doesn’t stretch to cover all?

If you find yourself in agreement with even one of these things … many of us are experiencing all the above … then it is time to do as He says and … “Consider your ways!”

I challenge you to go read the book of Haggai.  This book was written to the people living in Jerusalem and to those who had returned from exile.  It applies to each one of us today.  Those of us living in His created purpose for our lives and those of us returning from wondering from the purpose that He has created us for.

Talk about accountability check.  If we are experiencing even one of the bullet points above, then we need to stop and check our purposed use of life.  Are we building up our own body, home, business, etc. before we are tending to the Lord’s?  You say, “Yeah but …”.   I totally hear and feel you.  I look at our daily calendar.  Besides having a busy family life, we homeschool.  We have a ministry and two businesses as well as attending HMS School and attending services 14-15 hours a week as well as the bonus of the conference this week which puts us attending a minimum of 29 hours this week.  And yet, I must “Consider my ways.”  I’ve been looking at how and when we can volunteer during our already feeling full schedules.  It appears there’s just no way.  However, the need to serve where we are currently being called to sit under to learn is already on our family’s heart … and now after reading Haggai … any thought of “need for food, drink, clothing, bills, paychecks …” (and with teenage sons …” I’m hungry” or “what’s for dinner?” is plentiful!)  makes me stop and “Consider my ways.”  To look to see what I am doing to “build His temple”.

It is written in Haggai 2: 18b-19, “from the day that the foundation of the LORD’s temple was laid – consider it:  Is the seed still in the barn? As yet the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have not yielded fruit.  But from this day I will bless you.”

Okay … so mega WOW enlightenment from something that I’ve read before but obviously ready to see and receive now.  Do you see it?  It is written (and we all know God can only speak truth) that from the day the foundation was laid – Yip! Starting from the day I put first time to serve and volunteer in building up His temple/the fellowship we are mentoring under … that unlocks blessings to pour out over me, our family.  I don’t have to wait for the seed in the barn to be sowed, grown and then be harvested.  I don’t have to wait for the growing season to progress to be the proper time and temperature (Goodness the temperatures are so up and down here in Missouri!  75 degrees one day, 29 degrees the next and today we are heading back into the mid to high 60’s. I’m not even a tree or plant and I’m confused but praising the nice riding weather in the middle of what is called winter!)  for the fruits of the vine or trees to put on buds, produce fruit and ripen.  Nope … God’s blessing starts at the very foundation of DOING.  Based on that Truth, I cannot afford to NOT volunteer a portion of my time to His temple building.  I experience it constantly in my life that when I do what He lays on my heart, everything works together better and the outcome is far greater than what I input when I follow HIS leading.  When I try to meet expectations of others and those I place upon myself without His guidance, it is always far more effort, time, energy, expense and the outcome is no way near the same quality.  So, if I’m feeling lack … it’s an accountability moment to make sure I’m tending HIM first and then myself.  Only then can the scale balance or truly tip in my favor. (Vision a scale with chains suspending plates on each side of the balance point. I'm purposefully loading the plate on His side! Tee Hee I've lived the other side and I'm not going back.)

So, I challenge you to … “Consider your ways.”

As you proceed in your day and life, it is my desire to bless you with sensitivity to God’s voice.  I call forth your inner spirit to receive this blessing.  Spirit, God speaks in many creative ways, and I bless you with tuning your spiritual ears to him.  Your salvation depended on His voice calling you, and your response to Him was music to His ears.  I bless you with listening with commitment to obey.  I bless you with a hearing spirit and an understanding heart to discern between good and evil.  I bless you with clearing out static and interference so you have clear communication.  I bless you with awakened, deeply cleansed, and alert ears to hear.  I bless you with knowing your Shepherd’s voice.  I bless you in Jesus’ name with the sound of heaven.  So Be It!

It is our desire for you to KNOW God, to share His Word with you but also to share our lives with you in love.  We welcome getting to know you and to be able to love you where you are.  We are honored to support you on your journey to get from where you are to where you want to be.

Thank you for the investment of your time.
May you hear and receive what is yours to hear from the sharing of a portion of my insights.
Be blessed in the Name of the Lord, Yahweh, Jehovah-Jireh.
